How to Care for Your Jewelry
It is very important to know how to care for your jewelry to prevent damaging and to prolong it’s life. 24k gold is a very soft metal and some of the pieces I make are more delicate than others and require extra caution. The following instructions will provide you with all the information required.
Every piece is made entirely by hand. Because of this, no two pieces are ever exactly alike, even within the same design. Subtle variations and small imperfections are a natural result of hand craftsmanship and serve as quiet evidence of the process itself—qualities that are intentional, expected, and proudly embraced.

On the Nature of Damage
Gold of 24 karats, known for its purity and softness, requires mindful care in wear and handling. Its malleable nature makes it vulnerable to dents or bending when exposed to sharp impacts, heavy pressure, or accidental drops.
This sensitivity is especially pronounced in pieces featuring soft gemstones such as emeralds or pearls, or in those crafted from fine gold work like loop-in-loop chains, hollow designs, or delicately embossed pendants.
Note
Rings may also subtly adapt to the shape of the finger, particularly when lifting heavy objects or clapping tightly.

The Poetry of Preservation
A rigid box with a soft interior, such as the one provided with each purchase, offers optimal protection against damage. Link necklaces and bracelets should be stored flat to prevent distortion, and chains should be fastened to avoid tangling. Each item is best kept separately to prevent contact that may cause surface abrasion. Earring backs should be packed with care to avoid bending or deformation.

Soft Touch
Because of the natural softness of gold, only materials gentler than the metal itself should be used when handling or cleaning these pieces. This precaution ensures that the surface remains unmarked and preserves the jewelry’s original luster and form.
Cleaning Gold
For gold jewelry that is unthreaded and free of soft gemstones or pearls, gentle cleaning is recommended. Immerse the piece for approximately fifteen minutes in a solution composed of two cups of warm water and a few drops of mild dishwashing liquid. After soaking, lightly rub the surface with a cotton swab to remove any residue. If deeper cleaning is required, use a soft baby toothbrush with care. Rinse thoroughly in warm water and dry gently with a soft, lint-free cloth.
