Packaging
The packaging cocoons the jewelry, protecting it from damage during its journey to the customer. Packaging is pivotal in creating the desired first impression, it is therefore important to consider its design and details.

The creation process
The boxes are made by the talented carpenter Erez Lando, who designed the shape and sizes of the boxes especially for Rotem’s jewelry.
Erez Lando builds the boxes using the same techniques and tools as were used two hundred years ago. He uses cherrywood and natural, high quality, finishes such as natural shellac and pure beewax as a sealing layer. During the creation process Erez uses soft copper nails to emboss the body of the box after the banding process, he does by dipping and boiling the wood in water, using wooden nails to connect the bottom part of the box to the body.
Prior to the plastic era, these boxes were mainly used in kitchens to store seeds and flour.
