In Good Hands

The Hamsa, shaped as an open hand, has long been regarded as a symbol of protection and good fortune. In Moroccan tradition, it is associated with protection from the evil eye and with blessings of health, strength and prosperity.

Coming from a Moroccan family, this symbol holds a particular significance for me. This pendant carries that heritage forward in a form shaped by hand — a small gesture of protection, made to be kept close.

On the Other Hand

The Hamsa is shaped in relief using chasing and repoussé, creating a raised form on the front and a corresponding recessed surface on the reverse. Rather than concealing the way it was made, the back retains the traces of the forming process, allowing the craftsmanship behind the piece to remain visible.

Materials: 24k gold.

Technique: Chasing and repoussé.

Dimensions: 20.7 mm high, 17 mm wide and 3.6 mm thick.

Worth Noting

The sculpted hand is formed from a thin sheet of gold and secured within a supporting frame for structural stability. Due to the delicate nature of its construction, the piece should be handled with care.

As each piece is shaped entirely by hand, no two are exactly alike, even when made to the same design.
